The warmth of the letters and materials, the warmth of the letters and materials, and the personalities of the staff.

We chose Michinoku Wakon because when we ordered the materials, we received a handwritten letter and were impressed by the effort and content. We appreciated the thoughtfulness of having something handwritten and knew that this place would handle our wedding with care.

Since the groom's family lived in Miyagi Prefecture, we were planning to have our wedding in Miyagi Prefecture. Chapel weddings are wonderful, but there are many beautiful shrines in Miyagi Prefecture, and we felt that a shrine would be a good choice for a family wedding.

What made you decide to book and attend the consultation?

We had decided on Michinoku Wakon from the beginning.
The bride, the bride's mother, and the groom's mother visited the shrines that had been on our list of candidates, and we thought it would be nice to have a consultation today, so we called on short notice and they gladly said yes.

Were there any other wedding plans or services you considered?

We requested materials from several other companies, and most of them sent digital brochures. However, Michinoku Wakon included a handwritten letter with the materials they sent us, which made us feel the most warmth and personal touch.

I think the most important thing about a wedding is the chemistry with the staff. From the preparation to the wedding day, all the staff involved were very good people, so you can trust them with your wedding! I would like to recommend them.

The special location and the support of the planner made our ideal Buddhist wedding a reality.

What attracted us most to Michinoku Wakon was that they offered many options for the ideal wedding we had in mind. For example, we were able to wear dresses and uniforms for location photos, and we were able to hold our wedding reception at a beautiful ryokan with just our family, which was very satisfying.

We wanted to have a uniquely Japanese wedding, and there was something special about having the ceremony at a temple or shrine. In this day and age when Western-style weddings are the mainstream, we felt a sense of romance in having our ceremony at Chuson-ji, a World Heritage site, and were fascinated by the idea of having a wedding at a place that will remain in the future.

What made you decide to book and attend the consultation?

I was attracted to the responsiveness of the planner at that fitting session, which led me to invite not just the couple but also their parents and relatives to the wedding. At first, we were thinking of having a wedding with just the two of us, so we talked to the planner about our desire to at least show our parents how we chose our wedding clothes, and she very kindly accepted the fitting session where our parents could attend on short notice, and thanks to her, they were very satisfied on the day.

From that moment on, I knew I wanted to entrust my wedding to Michinoku Wakon.

How was the wedding plan proposed by Michinoku Wakon?

The plan was tailored to our individual situations and made our wedding ideal.
When we changed our minds from having a wedding for two couples to inviting our families, or when we had a hard time choosing an inn or a dinner venue to entertain our families, he listened carefully to our ideas and made no compromises in our wedding plan.
When we asked for the "wedding dinner plan," we were so pleased with the food and service that our entire family said, "We want to go back to that ryokan.

We would definitely refer our friends and relatives to the ryokan. The planners did their best to support our once-in-a-lifetime event, so we can leave it in their hands with peace of mind.

Even when we had doubts about the budget or decisions, the planners would say, "Don't worry. Let's do it." "It's okay if you are unsure. How about this way?" They suggested alternative plans with their wealth of knowledge and helped us a lot. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a reliable and trustworthy company.

Strengthening Ties between Japan and Germany: Shinto Ceremony in Sendai and Michinoku Wakon

We met in Sendai, the bride's hometown, when she was an exchange student at Tohoku University in Japan. After several years of long-distance relationship between Japan and Germany, we are now living in Berlin, the capital of Germany. Even though we live far away in Berlin, Japanese culture and traditions are very important to us, and Sendai is a special place for us. We decided to get married in Sendai, a place that holds such a special place in our hearts, in the uniquely Japanese style of a Shinto wedding ceremony.

We chose a Shinto wedding ceremony because while Christian weddings are common throughout the world, the Japanese Shinto wedding ceremony is unique to Japan, and our cultures are part of each other's lives. Having a Shinto wedding ceremony was also very important for us to show respect for each other's culture.

How was the response from Michinoku Wakon Wedding planners?

They were very kind, quick to respond day or night, and their passion for their work was always amazing. They are highly motivated and professional. The time difference between Japan and Germany was not a problem at all.

The planner in charge, the atmosphere of the crew, the division of work, and everything else made for a great team that worked well together. The moment when I felt especially glad to have asked them to work with us was when I saw everyone taking pride in their work and truly enjoying themselves, which made me realize how much they really love their jobs. I was so glad that I asked them to work with us. I was so glad that I had asked you to do this.

Were there any other wedding plans or services you considered?

I looked at several other websites and Michinoku Wakon was the only service that handled both international and Japanese marriages.
I would definitely recommend Michinoku Wakon to my family and friends. The planners worked very quickly and were able to fulfill all of our wishes and even suggested better ideas. Also, the team was very friendly and each of them did their job professionally.

A shrine wedding ceremony that came true on the recommendation of my mother-in-law and
Wedding photos with excellent support

Originally, I had no plans to have a wedding and only intended to take wedding photos. However, my mother-in-law found out about Michinoku Wakon after she researched a shrine in Miyagi where she could have her wedding ceremony.
Before that, we had actually gone to talk to another company that offered weddings at shrines and temples, but decided against it because the service and the price were not right.

Since our parents' homes are in Iwate and Fukushima, we had not yet decided where to have the ceremony, but the fact that we could have the ceremony at a shrine or temple in Tohoku was one of the attractions.

The planner at Michinoku Wakon explained everything to us in detail from the very beginning, as we had no knowledge at all about weddings. We still had no idea about the wedding or photo plan, but the planner gave us concrete suggestions, saying, "You can do this, too," and the conversation was very easy to understand. I also happened to be from the same prefecture as the planner, which made me feel closer to her.

When did you feel glad that you chose Michinoku Wakon?

Of course it was during the wedding ceremony, but the most important time was during the wedding photo plan.
We had planned to shoot outside, but when we were worried about what to do a few days in advance because of the heavy rain in the forecast for the day, you gave us good advice and although the plan changed a little on the day, the rain stopped halfway through and we were able to shoot outside as planned.

We were also very grateful to the staff who left early in the morning to come to Iwate for the shoot, and for their attention to detail and excitement during the shoot.

Would you recommend Michinoku Wakon to your family and friends? What would you recommend?

I would highly recommend it. One of the main reasons is that they incorporated as many of our ideas as possible and brought them to life. Although we didn't have a reception, seeing other people's receptions on social media, with unique ideas such as traditional attire and local-themed elements, I believe it would make for a truly memorable once-in-a-lifetime experience. Even without a reception, we were able to achieve a wonderful and unforgettable ceremony and photo plan.

A wedding at Uesugi Shrine made possible by detailed support through LINE and ZOOM and a comprehensive plan.

The communication with the planner in charge was always done with a smile, and we were able to proceed with the preparations while having fun; we were able to ask questions anytime via LINE, and she reminded us before the meeting. Thanks to the planner's many ideas for the content of the reception, we were able to have a wedding that satisfied us even though we had no idea what a Japanese wedding would be like.

After the wedding at the shrine, we are planning to have a reception for our friends at another wedding hall, but compared to other wedding halls, Michinoku Wakon cost for records is very low, the communication is meticulous, the planners are very good at making proposals, and they are flexible to meet our detailed requests. We were able to make our wedding plans at a much lower cost than at other venues.

How did you feel about the location and plans?

Uesugi Shrine, where we had our wedding, is also the site of a castle, and in addition to the solemn atmosphere of a shrine, it was full of photo spots, such as a dugout and a vermillion bridge. It is also a great place for a Japanese wedding, as the reception can be held at a delicious ryotei restaurant just around the corner.

I felt that the plan was easy to understand and had everything we needed. There were many areas that could be changed flexibly according to our wishes, and we were able to proceed with a sense of satisfaction.

Would you recommend Michinoku Wakon to family and friends?

I would definitely recommend Michinoku Wakon! During the preparation period, we received continuous support through LINE and Zoom, where they helped us think through everything and offered suggestions to ensure the ceremony would be perfect. On the big day, they took an impressive number of photos and videos, capturing every beautiful moment, allowing us to preserve the memories of our special day in such a stunning way. That’s another reason why I highly recommend them.

A traditional wedding where all requests were fulfilled.

We met in the same department at the same workplace and have continued our confidential relationship despite the bride's shockingly early confession of her love for me, which left me scratching my head.
He proposed in the bride's memory.
We held the ceremony at Motsu-ji Temple, a World Heritage site, during the season of autumn leaves.

We chose to hold the ceremony at a shrine or temple because we wanted to have a traditional, old-fashioned atmosphere that would please our grandparents, who had been so kind to us.

How did you feel about the location and plans?

It was a wonderful place to enjoy the autumn leaves with a Japanese atmosphere and many reflection spots.

Would you recommend Michinoku Wakon to family and friends?

Yes! The attentive service and the fact that you can spend a special once-in-a-lifetime day while experiencing Japanese traditions and culture is very attractive!

They kept us in mind throughout the whole process from start to finish to ensure our satisfaction.

We visited four companies that offer Japanese wedding planning, but we were so impressed by the planner in charge of Michinoku Wakon, who worked very hard to talk with us, that we decided to ask him to plan our wedding here.

At first, we looked at wedding halls with chapels, but we were not familiar with churches, so we thought it would be better to have our wedding at a temple that we were familiar with. We were very happy to be able to attend with our ancestors at the temple.

How did you feel about the planner's responsiveness?

From the first meeting, the planner was always there for us, and we were able to proceed with preparations comfortably and anxiety-free from start to finish. Thanks to that, we were able to have a pleasant wedding day.

The wedding venue and location that Michinoku Wakon proposed to us were very close to what we wanted and provided an experience beyond what we had envisioned. We also appreciated the flexibility of the wedding plan, as it was not a formulaic approach, but was designed to make sure we were satisfied with the ceremony.
